Collaroy Turtles Water Safety Swim Program

Our learn to swim program is conducted at Collaroy rockpool on the Northern Beaches of Sydney. We operate from December to March (summer season) each year from 8am to 9.30am on Sunday mornings with a break over the Christmas/New Year period. The program is run by volunteers who are qualified swimming and water safety teachers with Austswim and Royal Lifesaving NSW, trainees and helpers.

ANYONE CAN LEARN TO SWIM

LESSONS ARE SO MUCH FUN

OUR VOLUNTEERS ENJOY TEACHING
The program provides swim and water safety lesson for children from 3 years old up to adults. It is targeted at all who need, and would like, to learn to swim, but are unable to access lessons. Our priority is disadvantaged families and new arrivals to Australia, people from CALD communities and those not receiving lessons elsewhere.
Each lesson is conducted on a one on one basis for our introductory levels and in small group lessons for participants in our higher levels. Lessons last for approximately 10 to 15mins depending on the level and skill of each participant. Our focus is on water safety and survival skills. On days when the tide is high and the water too rough to run safe swimming lessons, we may choose to run a water safety lesson instead of learn to swim lessons. We'll advise of any changes on Sunday mornings, after we have assessed the conditions. Please watch our Facebook page to get up to date information each Sunday morning.
Registrations for each season will be open from the first week in November to the end of December. To book into the program please fill in the online Swim Program Booking Form. Once we receive your Booking Form we will send you an email with a confirmation of your booking together with payment details. Upon payment being received, you will then secure your place for the season. Our fee for the program covers for insurance for participants and volunteer swim teachers and assistants in our programs.
